4 characteristics that separate the wealthy from the non-rich

My mission is to share what is exclusive to me so as to add value to your life and make it easier to achieve greater wealth, higher health, abundant success, achievement and happiness. If you discover value in these articles, please share and encourage those near you

According to the Tax Foundationonly 5% of American households make enough money to be considered “wealthy.” And that 5%, in accordance with the Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Financecontrols 60% of America’s wealth.

In my opinion Research on Rich HabitsThis 5% has 4 common characteristics:

#1 The wealthy don’t follow the herd

People want a lot to slot in and be a part of the herd that they are going to do almost anything to avoid standing out from the gang. It’s not a theory. It is Science. Many years ago Candid Camera decided to check this science of their famous company Elevator prank. As funny as this Candid Camera prank was, it highlighted the lengths people will go to to slot in with the herd.

The problem is that with a view to grow to be successful, wealthy, and be in the highest 5%, you’ve to separate yourself from the herd – the opposite 95%. The prerequisite for fulfillment is separation from the herd. Consequently, successful people must grow to be outliers by pursuing different paths to build up their wealth:

  • The herd doesn’t save and invest 20% or more of their income – saver-investor millionaires do.
  • The herd doesn’t spend hours daily practicing consciously and analytically or expanding their knowledge base – virtuoso millionaires do.
  • The herd doesn’t take time to construct strong relationships with influential influencers – that is what the senior executive climbers of enormous firms do.
  • The herd is risk averse. They don’t risk every thing they own to pursue a dream – dreamer-entrepreneurs try this.

If you do what everyone else is doing, you’ll find yourself being a part of the 95 percent herd. If you need to be wealthy and successful, you’ve to separate yourself from the herd.

#2 The wealthy have growth habits

Greatness is a development. It is the byproduct of every day growth. Growth habits are every day habits that assist you to grow and improve – becoming the person it’s essential be for fulfillment to achieve you:

  • Read for half-hour or more daily to expand your knowledge base.
  • half-hour a day of every day study of recent or necessary facts learned out of your every day educational reading.
  • Hone your skills through deliberate and analytical practice to grow to be a virtuoso in what you do for a living.
  • Focused study in specific area of interest areas – constructing a distinct segment helps you stand out from everyone else in your field.
  • Pursuing dreams forces you to step out of your comfort zone and into the expansion zone. Each dream you pursue exposes you to recent information and can also require you to develop recent precious skills.

#3 The wealthy are stubborn and relentless – they never quit

Success takes a protracted time. How long it takes to get wealthy is dependent upon the trail you selected (4 ways to grow to be a self-made millionaire). Still, each path requires a special kind of persistence:

  • requires persistence in the shape of saving and investing your income, 12 months after 12 months.
  • requires the persistence to do great work and construct alliances with influential influencers inside your organization.
  • requires persistence in acquiring virtuoso knowledge or developing virtuoso skills. The persistence part involves a every day commitment to expanding your knowledge or perfecting your skills. It takes a few years to grow to be a virtuoso. Only the stubborn reach the extent of virtuoso.
  • requires persistence in overcoming obstacles, pitfalls, mistakes, bad decisions and failures. Entrepreneurs who never quit never fail. We call them self-made millionaires.

#4 The wealthy have more good habits than bad ones

Most habits fly under the radar – most, the 95%, are generally unaware of their habits. Those who’re successful, alternatively, are completely aware of their habits. They are obsessive about their habits. They proactively change their habits – eliminating bad habits that may undermine every thing they need to attain and adopting good habits that help them automate their success.
