The eagerly awaited Olympic Games 2024 will happen within the French capital from July 26 to August 11. This 12 months, it would introduce a brand new sport – breaking, also often called breakdancing (a shout-out to Miami-based Filipino-American Logan Edra aka Logistx, the youngest member of the U.S. Olympic breaking team) – and two latest disciplines, kayakcross and kiteboarding.
Omega, the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, is bringing that excitement to Miami, transforming the Jungle Plaza within the Design District right into a playground for all ages from July 26 to August 11. Open to the general public, the plaza features an interactive running track with skilled starting blocks, five pop-up tennis tables and a playground for the younger ones.

In addition, the brand organizes the next activation actions for the general public:
- Athletics: Omega will partner with the RunAdic running club to host a weekly series of athletics classes on Saturdays and Sundays for young athletes aged 4 to 18. Starting July 28, RunAdic coaches will help guests get in shape on the track. Registration is open. Here.
- Table Tennis: Omega will partner with Miami Table Tennis to host skilled play and guided training sessions on Sundays.
- Golf: On weekends, Omega provides visitors to the Miami Design District with a complimentary golf shuttle to and from the Omega boutique and Jungle Plaza, where they will benefit from the putting green under the guidance of the brand’s golf professionals.
During this time, guests may also participate in friendly table tennis games.
A photograph finish camera is accessible on site and on weekends guests receive souvenir photos to take home.
Maman, a New York-based French bakery with locations in Miami’s Wynwood and recently in Miami Beach’s Sunset Harbour neighborhood, will probably be on site during this time, offering a brunch menu with savory and sweet items in addition to drink stations.

Omega has also been the official timekeeper of the Paralympic Games since 1992. To mark this, a mural featuring a photograph of Italian wheelchair fencer and Omega ambassador Bebe Vio will decorate the courtyard. Vio has won 4 Paralympic medals in fencing and was victorious within the singles.
Visitors may also proceed their timing experience by discovering visuals, equipment and the watches worn by lots of the world’s best athletes on the nearby Omega boutique at 101 NE thirty ninth St.
Omega activation at Jungle Plaza runs Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 pm to six:00 pm. Guests can use the amenities at their leisure, subject to availability and availability.
