Airbus misses operating profit and increases A350 production goal

airbus reported weaker operating profit and money flow than expected in the primary quarter after hiring more staff to arrange for rising aircraft demand, but reiterated its 2024 financial targets after a nervous begin to the yr as a consequence of industrial costs.

The world’s largest aircraft maker also announced the next production goal for its wide-body A350 model, 12 per 30 days in 2028, as demand for long-haul aircraft rebounds.

Airbus reported adjusted operating profit of 577 million euros, down 25% year-on-year, revenue of 12.83 billion euros and free money flow of 1.8 billion euros. According to a survey conducted by the businesses, analysts on average expected an operating profit of 789 million euros and an outflow of 1.3 billion euros.
