Every day is a present (plus chances are you’ll have the ability to earn points for rent)

For Putin, Trump’s alternative of vice chairman couldn’t be clearer — JD Vance! A Yale-educated hillbilly who, like Trump, would abandon Ukraine… and all of the countries Putin will conquer next.

You do not have to read all of it – that is the gist of the matter.

A remarkable personal story of a near-death experience.

Read through all of it if you’ve got time this weekend.

This weekend We honor those that died fighting to preserve democracy – a form of presidency that Putin, Orban, Trump, Kim Jong Un and others within the Strongman Club don’t appear to revere. To save democracy from extinction, Click here.

THE BILT MASTERCARD

One of you is offended, the opposite is comfortable.

Lens: I opted for the free Bilt Mastercard at Your suggestion.

It is complicated to know methods to collect points:

  • 1 point per dollar, doubled on rental day (first of the month).
  • Double for Lyft? And something else?
  • And 3 times for restaurants, even for other registered bank cards (but not six times?) for local restaurants.
  • And the rental day bonuses are paid out in several installments.
  • And the rental premiums won’t be doubled.
  • And you will not receive any rewards unless you make five transactions in the course of the billing period.

Good. But then try to know the redemption!

  • You can get a credit toward your billing or rent payment, nevertheless it’s only $0.55/100 points!
  • You can earn Amazon.com credit, but only $0.70/100 points.
  • Some airlines assist you to get 1 mile/dollar, but how?
  • This allows trips to be booked within the portal, which is difficult to make use of.

You can arrange automatic payment to avoid by accident paying interest, but:

  • You cannot use the Bilt app or website for this. You should have a wellsfargo.com Account.
  • Their customer support is exceptionally bad. Almost as bad as that of a medical health insurance company.
  • To log into the app, it is advisable to confirm your identity along with your cell phone, but your (my?) phone can’t be authorized by a call. You have to go to the ATM to do that.
  • Then you continue to cannot do it since it’s a BiLT card and never a Wells Fargo card.
  • So you make an appointment with a bank teller, go in (again), and sit there while they (as an alternative of you) are on hold and transferred backwards and forwards (and backwards and forwards and backwards and forwards). Honestly, that part was oddly satisfying.
  • Then they let you know they are going to call you to substantiate (they will not) and that it should work out in X business days (it won’t).
  • Eventually it really works (yay!), but you continue to cannot hook up with Credit Karma, so back to customer support, with the suggestion to go to the ATM (still doesn’t work), and the suggestion to make an appointment with a bank teller (still doesn’t work, a number of transfers, etc.).
  • At some point you might be promised that the issue can be fixed inside one business day (which is just not the case) and you might be called to substantiate (which is just not the case).

Honestly, it should be interesting to see if automatic payment works and the way much hassle it should be if it doesn’t.

Here is my plan for the long run, which might be far too obsessive for most individuals:

  1. Keep random, small Amazon purchases in your shopping cart.
  2. On rental day (or not, it’s no big deal), buy every thing, one or two items at a time, 4 orders total, and use Prime Day delivery to get a $1.50 digital credit per order.
  3. This and the rent make up the minimum of 5 transactions.

This was not price my time in any way. I’m more upset with this advice than any of the businesses you really helpful which can be now out of business.

To which one other of you replies:

– Earning points doesn’t must be as complicated as Len makes it out to be. Everything he mentions is a bonus. If he doesn’t need to reap the benefits of these extras, just ignore them and give attention to the one point per dollar of rent, which is the largest advantage of all.

– Spend the points – best to either redeem them for travel on the Bilt travel portal (at a rate of 1.25 cents per point) or transfer them to airline and hotel partners (which might be price far more, especially if used for international business travel, etc.) See what The point type has to say about it (scroll right down to the Redeem Bilt Rewards Points sections). Both are very easy to make use of within the Bilt app – I did it. Redeeming in other ways is less beneficial (but still worthwhile because it’s points that would not have been earned otherwise in the primary place).

-Yes, the autopay should be arrange through Wells Fargo – but I used to be capable of manage my account online without having to enter a branch with none problems. It feels like Len has a problem along with his existing WF login that’s causing him problems managing this latest card.

– It’s easy to make five small payments monthly. Five cups of coffee? That’s a small price to pay for earning 60,000 extra points on rent or condo fees.

I’ve checked out the cards now from either side/ From victory to defeat, but one way or the other/ they’re still card illusions that I remember.

I actually do not know anything about maps…in any respect.

Have a pleasant weekend.
