Apple’s $3,499 Vision Pro mixed reality headset launched in February. Despite Apple’s efforts to bring Vision Pro into the mainstream, it stays “an expensive, niche product,” in keeping with Bloomberg chief correspondent Mark Gurman.
His Sunday A Newsletter reveals recent details about Apple’s strategy with the Vision Pro, with which the corporate hopes to sell more units.
According to Gurman, Apple’s Vision Products Group’s strategy has at all times been to launch the Vision Pro first and a less expensive alternative later.
The group’s focus now could be on this cheaper headset, which could sell within the $1,500 to $2,000 range. Apple desires to launch it as early as late 2025 and was planning to accomplish that before it even unveiled the Vision Pro, Gurman claimed.

Although Apple had sold out the initial stock of the Vision Pro, with With around 200,000 pre-orders, the headset has began slower than expected. In April, analysts sharply cut their Vision Pro delivery forecasts for the remaining of the yr from around 700,000 units to about half that, or 400,000 to 450,000 deliveries.
The Vision Pro received mixed reviews and average or above average Response rates for Apple products from its first buyers. Customers who returned it didn’t like the burden of the device, the present lack of apps and the standard of the display.
