Former New York Yankees superstar Derek Jeter has found a possible buyer for his New York castle after slashing the value of the sprawling lakeside estate by greater than half.
The property, referred to as Tiedemann Castle, went into contract with a buyer in late May after the asking price was reduced to $6.3 million. It was first offered for greater than $14 million about six years ago and had at one point didn’t sell at auction.
Located in Greenwood Lake, an idyllic New York neighborhood near the New Jersey border, the house is comprised of three lots with six bedrooms and 13 bathrooms and features sprawling gardens, a lagoon and an infinity pool, in line with the listing description.
Diane Mitchell, the agent for the property, declined to comment on the pending deal.
Jeter retired from the Yankees in 2014.
