Earlier this month, in his latest try and help Donald Trump return to the White House, Elon Musk founded a mysterious organization called “United States of America Inc.” Forbes revealed for the primary time.
Details concerning the company were scant on the time, except for its connection to the billionaire’s family office via a shared mailing address in Austin, Texas. For example, it was not known whether the corporate was a part of Musk’s political motion committee America PAC, which has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars campaigning for Trump and other Republican candidates because it was founded in May.
This week, nevertheless, those involved in Musk’s voter campaign began receiving checks issued by the United States of America Inc., finally shedding some light on the aim.
“I received a check in the mail today for $94.00. No check imprint attached. No return address. It’s from…are you ready for this? …THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC.”
The payouts are a part of America PAC’s voter sweepstakes, during which participants were promised $47 for every registered swing state voter they were asked to sign his petition “For freedom of expression and the right to bear arms.” On Tuesday, claimed the committee it had distributed greater than 187,000 checks value a minimum of $8.7 million, Forbes appreciated. Musk said his goal was to secure a million signatures.
An Arizona resident told it Forbes He referred three people to the PAC’s petition and received three checks inside seven days from United States of America Inc. “I received an email from America PAC for every one informing me that I used to be listed as a referral and that checks can be coming my way for everybody,” he said. Other people claim to have done this have received their payments by hand.
A handful of winners on X shared photos of their checks, which don’t discover America PAC in any way. “I received a check in the mail today for $94.00. No check imprint attached. No return address,” one person said tweeted. “It’s from…are you ready for this? …THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC.” Another said of their generosity: “None of us know what it’s or why. I finally found out that 47 must mean it got here from a Trump PAC.” United States of America Inc. is not yet listed in the PAC’s Federal Election Commission filings and the next disclosures aren’t due until December. Musk did not respond to a request for comment.

Meanwhile, the tech mogul faces a lawsuit from Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner over the legality of America PAC’s money prizes. Krasner argues that the PAC violated a Pennsylvania law that prohibits buying votes through lottery payments of $1 million to randomly chosen petition signers. On Wednesday, ahead of a hearing at which he was required to seem, Musk’s legal team said delayed a possible decision to the lawsuit by filing a motion to transfer the case to federal court. The PAC was warned individually This month, the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Division flagged that the lottery could also be violating federal law.
With only a number of days left to vote, Musk has since shifted his attention to the polls, and he’s doing so now promoting His PAC’s “Election Integrity Community” on X, where users are encouraged to report suspected cases of voter fraud. However, reviews of posts locally have uncovered a ramification of unfounded claims, doxxing attempts and misinformation.
