Last 12 months, Google launched two latest Pixel phones, with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro setting the benchmark for an “AI-first” smartphone. With an annual release schedule, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro will showcase the evolution of AI.
But which mobile phones will spread this message?
Google is anticipated to launch three Pixel 9 models. The Pixel 9 will likely be a direct descendant of the Pixel 8, while the Pixel 9 Pro will offer a better “Pro” level of specs but will likely be the identical size because the Pixel 9. That leaves room for a bigger handset with higher specs. The device, presumably called the Pixel 9 Pro XL, has been discussed before, and a brand new leak backs up the claims.
The Android Central team have been supplied with Pixel 9 cases from manufacturer Thinborne. These include cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL (and a note that the Pixel 9 case is listed on its website). Given the high tooling costs of a case and the precise specifications required for the precise placement of cutouts, controls and buttons, it is very likely that these case dimensions reflect the physical size of the finished Pixels.
The body design reflects the brand new camera bar style, with a rounded, elongated island as an alternative of a bar that extends from edge to edge along the back of the handset, and a less pronounced curve along the 4 edges.
Thinborne also has an inventory for a fourth premium pixel This 12 months, the Pixel Fold 2 is about to launch. It’s the follow-up to Google’s foldable debut last 12 months, but there’s an interesting twist to the Fold 2. The standalone brand is being discussed as being (ahem) folded into the Pixel 9 family, joining the three candybar smartphones after they launch later this 12 months. It’s still listed because the Fold 2, but do not be surprised if the Pixel 9 Pro Fold appears as a replacement.
