“Indiana Jones” fedora fetches 0,000 at auction

The brown felt hat worn by actor Harrison Ford within the second a part of the Indiana Jones movies was sold at auction for $630,000, film and tv memorabilia company Propstore announced on Friday.

The hat from 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was expected to fetch between $250,000 and $500,000, in accordance with the item’s online description.

The fedora comes from the private collection of the late stuntman Dean Ferrandini, who also wore it when he played the role of the dashing archaeologist Jones, who really hates snakes, for Ford.

Keeping the fedora in place during filming was a “constant challenge,” Propstore’s expert said in the net description, and pieces of froth were inserted to make it fit higher.

It was designed by the Herbert Johnson Hat Company in London and is product of sable-colored rabbit felt.

Other items sold include a white “biker scout” helmet worn by an Imperial Scout Trooper from 1983’s “Return of the Jedi,” which sold for $315,000, and a ghost costume worn by the celebs of the 1996 film “Scream,” which sold for $270,900.

“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” also starred Kate Capshaw as nightclub singer Willie Scott and Ke Huy Quan as Short Round.
