Jack Dorsey leaves Bluesky and confirms “Freedom Technology”

Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of X/Twitter until he resigned left the board of X-rival Bluesky in 2021, a decentralized social media network that he helped construct, finance and promote.

Blue sky began as a small research project inside what was then Twitter 2019 and have become its own platform in 2022. The company’s goal is to create a typical operating standard for social media platforms in order that apps can work between them. It works out loads like Twitter, which it was designed to switch.

Dorsey was on the board of Bluesky because the platform split from Twitter, now X, two years ago, but went to X on Saturday and easily wrote “No” when asked if he was still on the forum.

He also posted and pinned on the identical day: “Don’t rely on companies to give you rights. Defend them yourself with freedom technology. (You’re on one)” and referred to X as “freedom technology.”

On Sunday, Bluesky Posted an official statement on their website thanking Dorsey “for his help in financing and initiating” “Bluesky.” The company said it was in search of a brand new board member “who shares our commitment to building a social network that puts people in control of their experience.”

We sincerely thank Jack for his assist in funding and initiating the Bluesky project. Today, Bluesky thrives as an open source social network running on atproto, the decentralized protocol we developed.

Dorsey too allegedly over 2,000 people unfollowed this weekend and Weighed in for state surveillance.

He now only follows three people on X: Elon Musk, Edward Snowden and Stella Assange.

The apparent public approval of called out Elon Musk’s leadership of X last 12 months.

Dorsey also founded the fintech conglomerate Block, which the Justice Department is currently investigating for a former worker alleged compliance issues.

Dorsey mostly laid off the news report on Block’s earnings call last week.
