This week on This is how success is achievedI spoke with actor, comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart, co-founder of Gran Coramino Tequila. He’s had an incredible profession and I used to be interested by Hart’s entrepreneurial spirit, his growing tequila company Gran Coramino and the Coramino Fund’s recent $1 million donation to over 100 Black and Latino small business owners.
You can take heed to our entire conversation above, and I’ve summarized three key takeaways below. I hope you are as inspired by Hart as I’m.
Early life and entrepreneurship
Hart noted that his entrepreneurial journey wasn’t planned prematurely, but reasonably a discovery born out of success. He says he enjoys exploring the “how” of achieving goals. “It’s something you fall into and fall in love with when success happens,” he says.
Hart recalled his partnership with eleventh generation tequila maker Juan Domingo Beckmann to create Gran Coramino, sharing that their joy lies within the destination and the evolving journey itself. Hart emphasized the importance of relationships, highlighting how connections help him on his journey of discovery. Hart’s perspective highlights the dynamic nature of entrepreneurship, where passion, adaptability and relationship constructing all work together to guide one to success.

Gran Coraminos Reposado launch
Hart spoke concerning the launch of Gran Coramino’s newest variant, Reposado, following the success of Cristalino and Añejo. Hart’s approach will not be that of a mere entertainer, but of somebody deeply invested in the standard and longevity of his ventures.
“We have invested heart, sweat, tears and energy and now our product is on the shelves and it appeals to everyone, everyone can relate to it and everyone understands it,” he says.
He adds that the brand new Reposado is “a tequila for the people. This is a premium liquid for everyone, and that is the goal. It is a product that everyone can enjoy and feel good about.”

Coramino Fund
Hart explained why he partnered with Local initiatives support Corporation to create the Coramino Fund with Gran Coramino Tequila. The fund donates $1 from every bottle sold to support underrepresented entrepreneurs within the United States and Mexico.
“Now that I’ve been successful and seen a lot of things work, you have to have the wherewithal to come back … to support others like you, others who are struggling and struggling to figure it out,” he says. “Raising a million dollars to do just that, to create a product that not only represents the people for the people, but is something that we feel is a seamless connection.”
