Parents fulfill an important, fundamental function in society: they raise children to grow to be functioning adults. This is a vital function, because without them, society would descend into complete chaos.
But when you want more on your children, you’ve to be greater than only a parent to them. You should grow to be a mentor to their success.
About 24% of self-made millionaires in my Rich Habits Study had successful mentors. Interestingly, after I asked them how necessary their success mentors were to their success, 93% said they owe their success and wealth entirely to them.
Additionally, these mentored millionaires said that their success mentors accelerated their success. Their mentors taught them what to do and what to not do, which helped them avoid costly mistakes. They also served as advisors and helped them make the proper decisions in life.
As I discussed earlier, only 24% of the self-made millionaires in my study were lucky enough to have a mentor. That’s since it’s hard to search out a mentor. 76% of the self-made millionaires in my study did not have a mentor. Therefore, that they had to learn things the hard way, through the college of life. The school of life lengthens the trail to success attributable to costly mistakes along the approach to wisdom.
And that brings me to oldsters. Parents are sometimes the one probability for many of us to have a mentor in life. The lucky few who’re raised by successful mentors achieve extraordinary success in life.

Parents are in a novel position. They have the chance to mentor their children to success. All they need is knowledge.

Parents who mentor their children to success teach them what to do and what to not do and help them make necessary decisions and decisions in life.
Imagine if all parents decided to support their kid’s success. The world could be a totally different place.
