WD-40 Company — Shares rose 11% after the metal lubricant maker reported third-quarter results that beat analysts’ expectations. WD-40 reported earnings of $1.46 a share on revenue of $155 million, above analysts’ expectations of earnings of $1.39 a share on revenue of $145.8 million, in keeping with FactSet.
PriceSmart — The operator of a membership warehouse club rose 6% after reporting an increase in third-quarter profit and revenue. PriceSmart’s adjusted earnings were $1.08 per share, while analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected $1.01 per share. The company’s revenue of $1.23 billion also beat the consensus estimate of $1.21 billion.
Costco Wholesale — Shares rose 3% after the membership-based retail chain announced its first membership fee increase since 2017. Costco said it might increase the membership fee for annual memberships by $5, while higher-end plans would see a $10 increase.
About Semiconductors, Microchip technology — Semiconductor stocks each lost 2% in after-hours trading, a pointy reversal from big gains within the regular session, when shares rose 4.2% and three.9%, respectively.
