Susan Wojcicki was probably the most sensible of her sisters, her mother said earlier

“Susan was the most level-headed,” Wojcicki told CNN in May. “She was super easy to care for, baby and child. It was like she was born with a rational mindset. And I loved her so much that I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to have another one.'”

Then got here Janet, whose primary goal as a toddler was to beat Susan, Esther said, after which Anne.

Janet is now a professor of pediatrics on the University of California, San Francisco, and Anne is the founder and CEO of the genetic testing company 23andMe.

A longtime teacher at Palo Alto High School and creator of the 2019 book How to Raise Successful People: Simple Lessons for Radical ResultsThe family matriarch said her goal as a mother was to empower her daughters and teach them to address any situation.

Even though they didn’t develop into student leaders, they were independent thinkers and leaders in other ways.

“They weren’t afraid to take a stand, and that’s what I was hoping for,” she told CNN.

When asked what the key to successful parenting was, Esther replied that she didn’t have a specific parenting style, but fairly was cooperative and took her kid’s opinions into consideration, for instance when it got here to what to have for dinner and prepare it.

“So they were responsible for a lot of decisions and a lot of actions,” she explained. “They all have little failures, but that’s OK. The fact is, you don’t learn anything unless you fail. The more you do for your children, the less capable they are of action.”

In an interview with Assets In 2019, Esther reduced her parenting approach to the acronym TRICK, which stands for trust, respect, independence, cooperation and kindness.

She said that leaders could also learn from TRICK, declaring that Susan’s former company gave its employees a way of freedom since the policy allowed them to spend 20% of their time doing whatever they wanted.

“Google has proven itself to be one of the most creative companies in the world,” said Esther.
