The Summer Olympics are a combination of highs and lows for the world’s best athletes, weathering victories and defeats, pride and pain, broken records and broken bones. When the Olympic and Paralympic athletes on Team USA take the stage in Paris in the approaching weeks, medical staff will probably be there to support them through every performance and each fall – in style.
For the primary time, the greater than 250 medical professionals who make up Medical Team USA are wearing a uniform. The committee, Spear said, was equally desperate to discover a approach to support the medical examiners who help Olympic and Paralympic athletes perform at their best.
“They act as a team and support all the athletes. They should be equipped as a team,” says Spear. “It’s a historic moment for them too.”

However, my colleagues across the country don’t all receive this respect for the work they do daily.
“What most people don’t understand is how much training and sacrifice it takes to become a healthcare professional. And it doesn’t just affect our own lives, but the lives of our loved ones. There is nothing that fulfills my soul more than helping people.”
Stars, stripes and stethoscopes
This isn’t Figs’ first foray into skilled sports medicine – the corporate has already Outfits for medical staff Support of the English Premier League Everton Football Club– however it is the corporate’s biggest marketing maneuver. The multi-year contract with the USOPC runs through the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
Figs launched his campaign on Thursday with a video ad titled “Anatomy of a Champion.” The tagline: “It takes courage to sculpt bodies that break records.” Set to the anatomical nursery rhyme “Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes,” the video features 14 medical professionals and half a dozen athletes, including current and former Olympians and Paralympians. The medical staff, in fact, wear the limited-edition Figs x Team USA medical team scrubs collection.
Available in cherry red, optical white and navy blue, the scrubs are sleek and practical. Simple details like a jumpsuit for ladies and a high collar for men give them a futuristic look. The medical staff modeling the garments in promotional photos appear to be they’re on a mission, they usually are.
“It goes back to what we have always done, which is function,” says Spear Assets“We have a pocket architecture for everything we make – here you can put your stethoscope, your alcohol swabs, your sutures, your stitches, your bandages, all your tapes – everything you need to perform at your best.”
Spear adds: “It’s pretty genius that Figs makes bags and zippers where people can store the tool that may save someone’s life. That intention has all the time been a part of what we do. And on this case, on a world scale. [so] we needed to do it right.”

Comfort was also a priority when designing the clothing for healthcare employees, says Spear, who envisioned it getting used from the operating room to the sidelines on the Olympics. The surgical clothing is designed to be streamlined, breathable and consistent.
“All [needs] “Health professionals be certain that we will all live healthy and successful lives, whether you are an athlete standing on the rostrum winning a gold medal or someone undergoing a psychiatric or gynecological exam,” says Spear. “Health professionals keep our bodies going, and that is our goal – to rejoice them and be certain they get to the rostrum themselves.”
