That can’t be denied Above is super convenient and a simple option to get around any destination and to and from the airport. But let’s face it, it’s always not wallet-friendly.
That is not any longer the case.
The brand everyone knows today launched several recent features that expand its customer reach and are designed with affordability and convenience in mind.
As a frequent traveler who’s consistently going to and from the airport, Uber Shuttle is the massive deal for me. This permits you to reserve a seat along with others traveling to the identical destination, at a significantly cheaper price than UberX. Starting this summer, Uber will launch an airport shuttle service for passengers in cities around the globe.
More details are still being announced, but in its first quarter report released last week, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi explained how airports are more vital than ever to the Uber platform.
“Airport growth was particularly strong, particularly internationally, as travel continued to be positive for both consumers and businesses. And we’re all officially getting back to work: Workday session growth consistently exceeded leisure, holiday and overnight session growth, while Uber for Business gross managed bookings increased over 40% year-over-year.”
Khosrowshahi continued: “Through this growth, we have continued to focus on product and technical innovation in the Uber driver app, with Mobility active drivers increasing 29% year-over-year and deployment hours per driver continuing to improve “What’s remarkable is that in March, India surpassed the 1 million driver mark for the first time ever, making it the third country in the world to do so.”
Uber’s recent features also include Schedule UberX Share. I like this one since it is sustainable. This feature permits you to plan a shared trip from 10 minutes to 30 days upfront. You save around 25% in comparison with an everyday UberX and reduce CO2 emissions as well.
And essentially the most fun for those of you – and okay, for me! – traveling to a concert: Uber is partnering with Live Nation venues in Chicago, Charlotte and Pittsburgh to bring UberShuttle to concertgoers. The collaboration also includes Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, home of the Miami Dolphins, and the Formula One Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.
You can take an Uber shuttle directly to those venues from convenient downtown locations.
Anthony le Roux, the final manager of Uber Shuttle, told me that the corporate knows that individuals are consistently traveling to major events like live shows and the Grand Prix and are on the lookout for easy ways to get around.
“We’ve all had the experience where we’ve just seen an incredible concert or game, but once it’s over we have to navigate a busy parking lot full of people. It can be frustrating,” he says. “Uber Shuttle for Events allows concertgoers and sports fans to get home from the venue seamlessly and at a fraction of the price.”
