Zuckerberg learns paint his daughter’s nails on Quest 3S

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg used Meta’s recent $299 virtual reality headset to learn paint his daughter’s nails.

In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Zuckerberg uses the Meta Quest 3S to learn perform a manicure in a virtual environment while six web browsers are open around him. Then he takes the polish and paints his daughter’s nails.

He captioned the video, “Improving dad skills with multiple screens on the Quest 3S.”

The company announced the Meta Quest 3S on the Meta Connect event last month, a less expensive alternative to its $599 Quest 3. The headset features the same library of VR apps and games just like the Quest 3 at a cheaper price, but reviewers have labeled it as such Lower resolution display as a drawback. It’s not the primary time Zuckerberg has used a moment together with his daughters as a chance to introduce Meta’s products while learning something recent. In October 2023, Zuckerberg made a video wherein he learned braid his daughter’s hair using Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.

Meta is the industry leader in VR headsets. According to IDC ResearchMeta had a 60.5% market share in Q2 2024, with Sony and Apple holding 10.4% and 9.1%, respectively.

Meta’s market share has grown because the second quarter of 2023, when the corporate held 50.1% of the market, based on IDC. In the primary quarter of 2024, as Apple released the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro Headset.

According to a Leaked in February 2023Meta has shipped roughly 20 million Quest 2 headsets. A June report shows that Meta has been selling over one million quest 3 Headsets.
